Wedding Venues in Barcelona: 2026 Costs, Per-Guest Prices and Rules

What a Barcelona wedding venue costs in 2026, masía versus hotel per-guest prices, total budgets by guest count, music curfews and hidden fees to check.

The short answer

In 2026 sources put Barcelona wedding venue hire at roughly 8,000 to 25,000 euros for most venues, with venue and catering together at 150 to 320 euros per guest. Total budgets for 80 guests span 18,000 to 75,000 euros depending on the source, and music curfews and extra fees often only appear after the first quote.

A wedding venue near Barcelona typically costs 8,000 to 25,000 euros to hire in 2026, and venue plus catering together run roughly 150 to 320 euros per guest, depending on whether you choose a masía (a countryside estate) or a five-star hotel. The sources compared here are planners and wedding directories, so their figures lean towards fuller budgets, and for the same guest count they differ by a factor of two or more. This guide lays the ranges side by side, shows where the extras hide, and gives you the questions to ask each venue. It covers the venue and catering side only, so see our guides to planner costs and photography for the rest of the budget.

How much does it cost to hire a wedding venue in Barcelona in 2026?

Most venues fall between about 8,000 and 25,000 euros for hire, with luxury estates and hotels above that. The SuperWeddings directory, updated in March 2026, headlines a range of 8,000 to 40,000 euros or more, while its own FAQ says most venues cost 10,000 to 25,000 euros, so use the narrower range as a guide. It adds that weekend buyouts add 15 to 40 per cent.

  • Budget masías and private estates: about 8,000 to 12,000 euros (SuperWeddings, March 2026).
  • Mid-range venues: about 12,000 to 20,000 euros (SuperWeddings).
  • Luxury hotels and iconic estates: about 18,000 to 40,000 euros or more (SuperWeddings).
  • Small finca: 3,000 to 7,000 euros (Eventwed, May 2026).
  • Luxury villa: 8,000 to 20,000 euros (Eventwed).
  • Historic estate near Barcelona: 10,000 to 25,000 euros or more (Eventwed).
  • Exclusive full-weekend venue: 20,000 to 50,000 euros or more (Eventwed).
  • Girona and Costa Brava masías: about 4,800 to 9,000 euros (Casamiga, a planner whose page is dated September with no year).

Prices overlap but are not the same, partly because the sources define venues differently and the Casamiga examples are in Girona province, not Barcelona itself. The Bouclé Weddings guide, updated on 28 September 2026, notes that none of the venues it lists publishes wedding prices, so every figure here is a planner's estimate and you will need written quotes.

How much does a masía wedding cost per guest compared with a hotel?

A masía is usually cheaper per head than a central hotel. The Wedded app, in an article published on 22 July 2026, puts venue and catering together at 200 to 320 euros per guest in Barcelona, with a Penedès masía at 150 to 220 euros all-in and a five-star central hotel at 220 to 320 euros for the banquet alone, with hotel venue hire of 3,000 to 10,000 euros on top. It says masía hire is usually included in the per-guest price.

Eventwed lists catering alone at 120 to 160 euros per guest for a simple wedding menu, 160 to 250 for a mid-range destination wedding and 250 to 400 euros or more for luxury multi-course dining. Some venues require their own kitchen or an approved caterer, which limits your ability to shop around, so ask early.

What does a whole wedding in Barcelona cost?

Between about 18,000 and 75,000 euros for 80 guests, depending on whom you ask. Wedded estimates 28,000 to 45,000 euros for a complete celebration of 100 to 120 guests, including venue, catering, photography, flowers, music and dress, and says venue and catering take 45 to 55 per cent of the total. Weddings Abroad Guide, whose costings were updated in January 2026, puts a Barcelona and Catalonia wedding of 50 to 80 guests at 18,000 to 35,000 euros.

  • 50 guests: 25,000 to 45,000 euros (Eventwed).
  • 80 guests: 45,000 to 75,000 euros (Eventwed), against 18,000 to 35,000 euros for 50 to 80 guests (Weddings Abroad Guide).
  • 120 guests: 70,000 to 140,000 euros or more (Eventwed).
  • 75 guests at a classic masía: 35,000 to 50,000 euros or more (Casamiga).

The gap is large and none of the sources explains its method fully. Eventwed is a planner promoting its own paid guide, and its own page says totals exclude guest accommodation, flights, honeymoon and outfits. Read the totals as scenarios, and build your own from quotes. Our guide to wedding planner costs in Barcelona and the one on wedding photographer prices cover the other big lines.

When do venues book up, and which months cost more?

Top venues book 12 to 18 months ahead, and June is the most expensive month. SuperWeddings advises 12 to 18 months for the best venues, Wedded says top June and September venues may need 14 to 18 months, and Bouclé says the most sought-after venues book about 18 months ahead.

  • June: the most in demand, and Wedded says some masías charge 20 to 25 per cent more than in May.
  • May: Wedded calls it the best balance of weather and price.
  • September: popular and high-priced for its light and weather.
  • Mid-November and late March to late April: described by Wedded as more economical.
  • Fridays, Sundays and weekdays: Bouclé says these offer more flexibility than high-season Saturdays.

What rules and hidden costs should I check before signing?

Check the music curfew, the catering rules and what is excluded from the quote, because these are where budgets slip. Wedded says many masías impose noise curfews of 2 to 3 am that often do not appear in the first quote. Spain4Weddings explains that every Spanish venue operates under noise rules and licences, with a legal limit on music hours especially outdoors, and that couples often move the party into a soundproof indoor room to carry on later.

End times vary widely between venues. The Bouclé guide records venue-published or local limits ranging from outdoor music ending at 10 pm up to indoor dancing until the early morning, and notes that some venues use a sound limiter or restrict fireworks, sparklers and confetti. We could not confirm the Catalan legal rules on outdoor amplified music from an official source, so treat each venue's written conditions as the answer.

  • VAT, service charges, late-night fees and overtime: Eventwed says to confirm whether VAT is included and whether the others apply.
  • Guest transport: Wedded puts transport to a masía at 1,500 to 2,500 euros, with a 50-seat coach at 600 to 900 euros a trip.
  • Welcome dinner and next-day brunch: 5,000 to 25,000 euros or more (Eventwed).
  • Mandatory suppliers: some venues require their own caterer, sound company or DJ (Bouclé).
  • Corkage and drinks packages: SuperWeddings says drinks packages and catering per head are often the biggest cost.

What should I ask a venue before I sign?

Ask for a written quote that separates venue hire, mandatory fees, catering, corkage, service charges and VAT, as SuperWeddings advises, and then ask the questions below. Bouclé and SuperWeddings both recommend visiting at the time of day of your ceremony.

  • What does the rental include and what is extra: furniture, sound, coordination?
  • What time must music stop indoors and outdoors, and can that be extended and at what cost?
  • Which caterers and suppliers can I bring, and which are compulsory?
  • What is the rain plan, and can I see it set up?
  • What size of coach can reach the door, and where does it wait?
  • What are the cancellation and rescheduling terms?

If you are marrying as a foreign couple, the legal requirements are separate from the venue, and our guide to a destination wedding and legal marriage in Barcelona explains them. A planner can negotiate with venues and manage the quotes, and our guide to the difference between a planner and a coordinator shows which service you need.
