Dental Implants in Barcelona: 2026 Costs, All-on-4 and Quote Checklist
What dental implants cost in Barcelona in 2026, how bone grafts, sinus lifts and All-on-4 change the price, UK comparison and what an itemised quote must include.
The short answer
In 2026 sources put a single implant in Barcelona at roughly 700 to 1,500 euros, with a finished tooth around 1,200 to 1,800 euros all-inclusive, against 1,800 to 3,500 pounds in the UK. Bone grafts, sinus lifts and full-arch All-on-4 work add thousands, so compare itemised quotes, and note that implant problems around the gum are common enough to need a maintenance plan.
A single dental implant in Barcelona typically costs about 700 to 1,500 euros for the implant itself in 2026, and about 1,200 to 1,800 euros all-inclusive once the abutment and crown are added, according to the dated sources compared here. That is well below the 1,800 to 3,500 pounds a UK practice usually charges for a finished tooth, but headline offers often exclude the pieces that make the price. This guide explains what is and is not in a quote, what grafts and full-arch work add, how the UK comparison holds up, and what the evidence says about aftercare. Most price sources are clinics and dental-tourism sites, so treat them as ranges, not tariffs. It is general information, not dental advice.
How much does a dental implant cost in Barcelona in 2026?
Roughly 700 to 1,500 euros for the implant, and 1,200 to 1,800 euros all-inclusive for a finished tooth. The medical-tourism aggregator Flymedi, in a guide updated on 7 September 2026, estimates a single implant in Spain at 700 to 1,500 euros and lists Barcelona clinics with treatment-only starting prices from about 690 to 990 euros. A Barcelona clinic's own price page puts an all-inclusive single tooth at 1,200 to 1,800 euros, with promotions from 800 to 900 euros and premium front-tooth work up to 2,500 euros.
- Implant only: 700 to 1,500 euros across Spain (Flymedi, 7 September 2026).
- Implant with abutment and crown: 1,000 to 2,316 US dollars across Spain (Dentavacation, last modified 31 August 2026).
- Barcelona average: about 1,300 US dollars for an implant, with an implant and crown from about 2,200 dollars (Bookimed, page dated 17 October 2026).
- Finished tooth, all-inclusive: 1,200 to 1,800 euros (a Barcelona clinic's own page, Clínica Corona).
- Components on the same clinic page: abutment 150 to 450 euros, ceramic crown from 350 to 900 euros depending on material, and a 3D scan 150 to 450 euros.
The sources do not agree on a single number. Bookimed's own clinic listings range from about 900 to over 3,900 US dollars, its summary figure does not say whether a crown is included, and Dentavacation's Barcelona 'starting' prices sit far below its Spain-wide table. These are marketing figures and the dollar amounts are not converted, so the only reliable number is the one on your own itemised quote.
What should an itemised implant quote include?
A fair quote lists every component so you can compare like with like. Clínica Corona warns that an implant offer at about 500 euros almost never includes the abutment, the crown, the prosthetic work or the scan, and Flymedi says inclusions vary by package and should be confirmed with each clinic.
- Consultation and 3D scan (CBCT).
- The implant itself, with brand and warranty terms.
- The abutment, which connects the implant to the tooth.
- The final crown, with material (metal-ceramic, E-max ceramic or zirconia).
- Surgical fee, anaesthesia and any temporary tooth.
- Bone graft, sinus lift or extractions if they are likely to be needed.
- Follow-up visits and hygiene maintenance, and what a repair or replacement costs.
How much do bone grafts, sinus lifts and All-on-4 add?
They can add hundreds to several thousand euros, and they are not rare. Clínica Corona says sinus lifts and bone grafting are needed in 30 to 40 per cent of cases and quotes sinus lifts from about 500 euros and bone grafting from about 600 euros. Dentavacation gives wider Spain-wide ranges in US dollars: a bone graft from 200 to 1,000 dollars per unit, a sinus lift from 750 to 2,000 dollars, and a full-arch All-on-4 bridge from 3,600 to 16,500 dollars per jaw, with an average of 10,050 dollars.
The All-on-4 range is very wide, which suggests different materials, clinics and case complexity behind the same name. Ask what the bridge is made of, whether the first bridge is temporary, and what the price includes. For everyday dental costs beyond implants, see our guide to dentist prices in Barcelona.
How do Barcelona implant prices compare with the UK?
Barcelona is usually cheaper, but compare a finished tooth with a finished tooth. The UK price comparison site DentistCost, reviewed on 26 September 2026, puts a private single implant including fixture, abutment and crown at 1,800 to 3,500 pounds, with a median of 2,500 pounds, and says bone grafts of 250 to 1,500 pounds are needed in about 30 per cent of cases. It adds that the NHS does not fund implants for routine missing teeth, only for cases such as trauma, head and neck cancer or severe medical need. Flymedi puts the UK range at 2,300 to 4,000 euros and claims savings of 50 to 70 per cent, a figure its own table does not break down.
Travel changes the sums. Flymedi describes two trips, usually three to six months apart, which adds flights and hotels to the Spanish price, so residents of Barcelona are in a better position than visitors to use a clinic for aftercare.
What are my rights, and what about problems after the implant?
You are entitled to clear information and to give or withhold written consent. Under Spain's patient autonomy law (Ley 41/2002, articles 8 and 10), consent for surgery and invasive procedures must be given in writing, the practitioner must explain the likely risks and contraindications beforehand, and you can withdraw consent in writing at any time. Read the form before you sign, and ask for it in English if you need to.
Problems around implants are common enough to plan for. A 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis in the Journal of Periodontology, pooling 102 studies and 13,030 patients, found peri-implant mucositis (gum inflammation around an implant) in 46 per cent of patients and the more serious peri-implantitis in 21 per cent, with periodontitis and smoking identified as risk indicators for both, and diabetes and alcohol use for peri-implantitis. Ask any clinic what maintenance visits it expects, what they cost and who treats a problem later, and see our guide to dental emergencies in Barcelona if something goes wrong out of hours.
Does dental insurance cover implants?
Usually only in part. Spanish dental plans are typically a low monthly premium plus a discounted fee list, not full reimbursement, as we explain in our guide to dental insurance in Barcelona. Check whether implants are on the plan's fee list and at what discount before you rely on it.

Are dental implants cheaper in Barcelona than in the UK?
Generally yes. A UK comparison site reviewed in September 2026 puts a private single implant with crown at 1,800 to 3,500 pounds, while Barcelona quotes for a finished tooth are around 1,200 to 1,800 euros, though extras and travel change the total.

The abutment, the crown, the 3D scan and any bone graft or sinus lift are often extra. One Barcelona clinic says bone grafts or sinus lifts are needed in 30 to 40 per cent of cases.
How much does All-on-4 cost per jaw in Spain?
One 2026 dental-tourism guide lists a range of 3,600 to 16,500 US dollars per jaw with an average of about 10,050 dollars. The spread is wide, so ask what material the bridge uses and what is included.
Do implants need maintenance?
Yes. A 2025 meta-analysis of 102 studies found gum inflammation around implants in 46 per cent of patients and peri-implantitis in 21 per cent, so regular check-ups and hygiene visits matter.
